You may have spotted one of our prints on the hugely popular Netflix series, The Crown. We produced the highly detailed topper for the prop Gold State Coach, which was used in a scene depicting the 1977 Silver Jubilee.
Printed on our Stratasys Fortus 900mc, the piece took around 3 days to complete. We used white ASA and a layer height of 0.5, which was ideal to achieve the raw surface that the client required.
The client then finished the part with a gold effect mirroring the actual Gold State Coach decorative detailing. We also printed a detailed rope, one of the four which sits on top of the coach. After printing one of the rope pieces, our client then used the print to create a mould and a further three identical pieces.
