Airport Games

This project consisted of numerous elements, all manufactured as pieces in an interactive airport-themed board game. We printed a total of ten airplanes, a control tower, a set of seats and pieces of luggage including a suitcase and a rucksack, as well as a full colour Sitting Guard.

2019 World Class Bartender Trophies

For the 2019 World Class Bartender of the Year Awards, hosted by Diageo, we created three large and 25 smaller trophies. The design was a slightly updated version of the ones we manufactured for the 2017 awards.

Bonzini Football Table

These replica sauce bottles were produced as table football pieces, printed on our HP 4200 and finished in-house in the style of French’s Classic Yellow and Frank’s RedHot sauce bottles.

These bulls were produced as part of our client’s restoration project, and involved the printing of two replicas of an original bull inherited with the purchase of an old pub.

Guitars

We were extremely excited to be involved with such an innovative concept as 3D printing a guitar. The project was brought to us by Neil Hewitson, who aimed to provide a new, ergonomic design in which the curved back of the prototype guitar moulds to the body of the musician.

Replica Rocket

We manufactured this 800mm long rocket in one piece using our Stratasys Fortus 900. It is a replica of a model featured in the 1936 film Flash Gordon, painted silver with blacked out windows to conform to the design of the original rocket.

Leaves

We printed a series of fifty life-like leaves for a display at our client’s main showroom. Using our HandyScan 700, we scanned a real leaf and after cleaning with Zeiss colin3D and Magics, printed the leaves on our HP Multi Jet Fusion 4200.

David & Goliath

Working to a tight deadline, we printed this large scale piece for artist and sculptor, Jam Sutton. The sculpture was part of the ‘On a Pedestal’ exhibition which debuted at Castletown House, before moving to Dublin Castle.

Car Grille

We manufactured this car grille as a replacement part for a discontinued vehicle. Since the car was discontinued, the replacement grille was no longer available to purchase, which is where we stepped in and were able to 3D print a replica, significantly extending the road-life of the car.

Recycling Centre Model

This intricate model of a recycling centre was made in over thirty individual pieces that ranged from miniature conveyor belts and staircases, complete with handrails, to whole buildings.

‘Make Blood Cancer Visible’ Master Figures

We recently helped with an installation to raise awareness of blood cancer, creating two 3D printed masters from which our client made moulds to produce a series of human figures. We manufactured two master figures to be used in the casting process, printing them in under eight hours each on our large format Massivit 1800.

Working with our sister company, Stage One, we provided 200+ 3D printed parts for the 2018 touring arena show ‘Fast & Furious Live’. We love helping on creative projects, and this one saw us using our skills to help them create a customised Navistar style military truck that featured in the show.

Goodwood Car of the Future – Miniatures

We recently completed a project assisting with the build of three miniature versions of the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed’s ‘Car of the Future’!

You may have seen the project completed by our sister company, Stage One, over the summer. The original car was the imaginative creation of 6-year-old Harry Ingram and featured a nozzle to extract dirty air and use it to power the car; ice cream holders; and a dispenser that issues clothes and food to the homeless.

Diageo Bartender of the Year Awards

The intricate design of this award lent itself beautifully to 3D printing. In fact, we don’t think the filigree elements of the design could have been realised any other way. Our client, asked us to produce a Winner’s trophy and five runner-up trophies for the prestigious 20Bartender of the Year Awards that took place in Mexico. We worked with them to develop the design, producing prototypes and sample finishes before printing the awards on our HP Multi Jet Fusion 4200 3D printer.

Domestic Appliance Prototype Components

This series of ninety pre-production prototype parts for a domestic appliance was produced in three builds on our HP Multi Jet Fusion printer. Each individual component was different and designed for injection moulding in production. Our HP Multi Jet Fusion produced excellent and accurate detail and a rapid turnaround, enabling the client to prove their designs and progress to manufacture.

Black Sea Shipwreck

We’ve recently completed a project printing a scale replica of one of the world’s oldest shipwrecks! You might have heard about the Black Sea shipwrecks in the news lately. Over sixty ancient wrecks have been discovered over the last few years, three of which were exceptionally well preserved. Buddha

We produced a 3D printed master of a Buddha sculpture for artist, Dominic Hawgood. In order to achieve sufficient detail, it was printed on our HP Multi Jet Fusion 4200, which accurately replicated the deliberately skewed perspective of the design.

Dog

This 400mm-high dog was created at speed for a retail window display and printed overnight for our client, Stylo Graphics, using our Stratasys Fortus 900. The retail sector often requires a fast response, new lines and promotions being released right at the last minute in order to steal a march on the competition. We were well placed to help with this tight-turnaround request, printing the piece in just twenty hours.

Foundry Casting

3D printing can be particularly useful as a prototyping tool, enabling clients to realise a design before committing to an expensive industrial process. In this case, a pre-production prototype was made for a large foundry on our HP MJF 3D printer, allowing them to examine the actual part before proceeding with tooling for the casting process. We are able to create moulds that can be used repeatedly using this printing technique.

Morris Column Top

This sculptural column top was created for an experiential event at Cannes Lions Festival. The hexagonal domed top of the iconic Parisienne advertising column was printed on our large format Massivit 3D printer. Completed in just four hours, the dome was then filled and sanded and given a scenic paint finish by our specialist team.

Retail Display Push Connectors

We manufactured these prototype push connectors to provide an easy-to-use and concealed means of attaching a torso mannequin to a new design of display unit. The retail stand was designed by our client for a major sports brand and 3D printing provided a fast means of developing this particular element of the design. The two-part connectors were printed on our HP Multi Jet Fusion which provided a quick turnaround and requisite strength.

Soap Opera Props

We were asked to produce a range of 3D printed props including door furniture and a series of golf club heads for a national television soap opera. We scanned the club heads using our HandySCAN 700, then printed them on our HP Multi Jet Fusion printer. Our specialist finishing team sprayed the club heads with a chrome-look paint, before hand-painting the detail.
