‘Make Blood Cancer Visible’ Master Figures

We recently helped with an installation to raise awareness of blood cancer, creating two 3D printed masters from which our client made moulds to produce a series of human figures. We manufactured two master figures to be used in the casting process, printing them in under eight hours each on our large format Massivit 1800.

Black Sea Shipwreck

We’ve recently completed a project printing a scale replica of one of the world’s oldest shipwrecks! You might have heard about the Black Sea shipwrecks in the news lately. Over sixty ancient wrecks have been discovered over the last few years, three of which were exceptionally well preserved. We were asked to print a scale presentation model of one of these ships, a highly detailed Roman galley…

Soap Opera Props

We were asked to produce a range of 3D printed props including door furniture and a series of golf club heads for a national television soap opera. We scanned the club heads using our HandySCAN 700, then printed them on our HP Multi Jet Fusion printer. Our specialist finishing team sprayed the club heads with a chrome-look paint, before hand-painting the detail.

Foundry Casting

3D printing can be particularly useful as a prototyping tool, enabling clients to realise a design before committing to an expensive industrial process. In this case, a pre-production prototype was made for a large foundry on our HP MJF 3D printer, allowing them to examine the actual part before proceeding with tooling for the casting process. We are able to create moulds that can be used repeatedly using this printing technique.

Retail Display Push Connectors

We manufactured these prototype push connectors to provide an easy-to-use and concealed means of attaching a torso mannequin to a new design of display unit. The retail stand was designed by our client for a major sports brand and 3D printing provided a fast means of developing this particular element of the design. The two-part connectors were printed on our HP Multi Jet Fusion which provided a quick turnaround and requisite strength.

Diageo Bartender of the Year Awards

The intricate design of this award lent itself beautifully to 3D printing. In fact, we don’t think the filigree elements of the design could have been realised any other way. Our client, asked us to produce a Winner’s trophy and five runner-up trophies for the prestigious 20Bartender of the Year Awards that took place in Mexico. We worked with them to develop the design, producing prototypes and sample finishes before printing the awards on our HP Multi Jet Fusion 4200 3D printer.
